Logitech Harmony

When I tried to add the Xtreamer remote control to my Logitech Harmony Remote Software, it suggested to add the Mvix 780HD and I confirmed. While using the Harmony 555 I found that not every button worked so I decided to learn nearly all commands from the original remote again. After that was finished, I was quite happy about how well the Xtreamer worked together with the Harmony.

I remember in times of a WDTV when I connected all devices to the power grid, the WDTV will automatically switch power on. That's inacceptible for usage with a Harmony, coz the Harmony expects all devices to be in standby when connecting them with the powerline. So the Xtreamer works perfect in this matter, I think I can do everything on the Xtreamer what I could do with the original remote! Yesss! Another WDTV killing feature :)

Those buttons of the original remote which could not logically be assigned to hardware buttons of the Harmony would just find their place in the "Additional buttons". I still love my Harmony 555. For €60 you can't do anything wrong by purchasing it!

At this point I'm already using only my Harmony. The original remote has been put in the drawer.
